naturalistic thought.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His inexhaustible curiosity and his multidisciplinary training led him to <\/span><b>investigate almost every field of science.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Among other works, the treatise \u201cVersuch die Metamorphose der Pflanzen zu erkl\u00e4ren\u201d ( <\/span><b>\u201cMetamorphosis of Plants\u201d<\/b>),<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in which he described for the first time the serial homology of leaf organs, from the cotyledons to the petals, laying the foundations of modern plant morphology; the volume \u201cZur Farbenlehre\u201d (<\/span><b>\u201cThe Theory of Colors\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), with which he proposed a theory of colors based on the dynamic interaction of light and darkness, opposing Newtonian ideas on the prismatic decomposition of light.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this overview, the site aims to celebrate his multidimensionality by offering
